History Of Scandinavian Style
Scandinavian design is

that refers to the countries which make the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern
Europe. These countries are Denmark, Norway, and Sweden with two more Nordic

The term Scandinavian design originated
from a design show with the same name as “Scandinavian Design” that traveled
through the United States and Canada between 1954 and 1957, before that, the design was not so popular in the design world. And also the Brooklyn Museum
organized its “Design in Scandinavia” show in 1954 in America, which played an
important role to famous the style with its design principles throughout
America & Europe.
The reason behind the birth of The Scandinavian design style was the long, harsh winters with
a few
hours of daylight kept people indoors for many months. Because of these
geographical and climatic conditions the style came into the frame by some of
