What are Warm Colors and Cool Colors?




Colors make our lives more beautiful. This is a reality because consider what would happen if there were no single color exist in the world. Obviously, we couldn't perceive things properly because they each had their unique essence, colors, aesthetics, feelings, and so on for that color is the most important aspect.

However, according to color theorists, color is classified into two categories: warm colors and cold colors. Through these colors, we can feel feelings such as happiness, energy, calmness, enthusiasm, and so on.

What are Warm Colors?

On the color wheel, one group of colors represents the sun, warmth, and fire. These hues are referred to be warm colors because they create warm feelings in people. In this color category, there are two primary colors & one secondary color is included. In this primary colors are yellow & red, one the other hand secondary color is orange, and many variations of these three colors. The wavelengths of these hues are long, and they are vibrant, energetic, happy & noticeable.

In a nutshell, the term "warm color" refers to any color that is vibrant or bold in nature. Warm colors tend to advance in space and might be overpowering.

What are Cool Colors?

On the color wheel, another group of colors has represented the water, ice, cold & tress. These hues are referred to be cool colors because they create a chilling effect on humans. In this color category, there is one primary color & two secondary colors are included. Int this primary color is blue, on the other hand, secondary colors are green & purple with many variations of these three colors. Cool colors include green, blue, purple, and variations of these hues.

It is a blend of yellow, which is associated with happiness and joy on one end of the spectrum, and blue, which is associated with peace and calmness on the other.

3. Purple

Purple is the color of royalty. Its shows the royalness & calmness. It is a blend of Red, which is associated with energy and joy on one end of the spectrum, and blue, which is associated with peace and calmness on the other. So it is a perfect combination of two primary colors. 

Should warm and cool colors be combined?

Yes! These two colors classifications have their own features, uniqueness, identity & saturation but then too we can mix them together. Here the catch is whenever you will use these two colors classifications then keep one as primary or main color so that you can blend it properly with other color classifications.
